At the Gyeongju South Korea–US summit (29 Oct 2025), it pledged 350 billion dollars of investment (200 billion in cash plus 150 billion in shipbuilding, capped at 20 billion a year). In return, the tariff on cars became 15% and it received approval to build nuclear-powered submarines.
